Disclaimer: Equine Mobile Therapeutics -Renay Matthews, CMP, equine-canine massage therapy is NOT intended to diagnose nor treat any medical condition. If you have any concerns about your animal's health, contact your animal's veterinarian.
Using a variety of massage practices to stimulate blood flow can bring in oxygen and other nutrients, at the same time removing lactic acid build up and eliminating other metabolic waste from our equine partner's body.
Practicing of massage for our equine family as we know it encourages injured muscles to heal, and healthy muscles to stay flexible and pain free.
No use of machines, only our bodies so we can feel the muscles, temperature of the skin and where the tension is.
We may implement Light Touch Therapy, a technique we do WITH a horse that we learned and were certified through from Nancy Horne as well as Acupressure.
Practicing mindfulness and presence, observing interactions, and applying light touch on a meridian line can be all it takes sometimes for our equine partner to 'process' and release their own tension, be it physical, mental or emotional.
Massage is not a substitute for veterinary care. We work closely with you, your vet, chiropractor, and farrier to benefit the whole horse.
